and OLAP databases (very often neglected
topic). We have worked with databases
with Terabytes of data and still maintaining
excellent performance.
By the way, here is a little tip: the best
way to tune SAP BW performance for a Business
Intelligence applications is to tune the SQL
access to the underlying relational database.
SAP BW (and SAP in general) store all their data
in a relational database. If you are having performance
problems, first make sure that the
database access through the generated SQL BW
SQL queries is performing well.
